The Trinity

The Trinity

by Bill Jones

If you do not believe in the Trinity then some will say that you are not saved. The Bible does not mention the Trinity, but the Bible says that if you believe in Jesus Christ then you are saved. The Trinity is a concept of man. But, the Trinity has great following. A majority of Churches have the Trinity in their Creed. The Trinity may be considered Biblical but is inferred by man.

The Nicene creed was held in the year 325 ad. The Nicene Creed was voted on by man and states that Jesus Christ is equal to God the Father. This was voted on by about 300 Bishops and probably allowed the Trinity to be accepted.

There are several Apostles Creeds that are the words of man. The words are the general beliefs of the Church. The words are not from the Apostles.

The Catholic Church has over a billion members. It is a mainstream Church. The Catholic Church accepts the Trinity. The Catholic Church claims to be the one true Church and this is in the Church Creed.

You can find verses in the Bible that will infer that the Trinity is true. Jesus Christ is said to be “one” with His Father. This infers that they are “one” and the same. It also imply’s that they have the same mindset which is clearly true. Imply is stronger than infer. Some of the verses that infer the Trinity are weak. It takes a number of verses to infer the Trinity.

Many Church's accept the Trinity as Biblical. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all equal according to the Trinity. Therefore, it would no longer be necessary to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It says in the Bible to pray to the Father in the name of His Son. But, this would imply a hierarchy.

The Holy Spirit is given to Jesus Christ by the Father. Jesus then gives us the Holy Spirit. This imply's a hierarchy.

Jesus is said to be made less than the Angels. When the Father gave Jesus the Spirit it then made Jesus greater than the Angels. Jesus knew that He was a God. The Father giving the Spirit to Jesus imply's a hierarchy.

Jesus did many miracles. He had legions of Angels available for Him. He knew that he was a God. He knew that he would sit at the right hand of God the Father. It is said often in the Bible that He would sit at the right hand of the Father. Jesus mentions the Father many times in the Bible. This imply’s a hierarchy.

Jesus is a God that prayed to his Father to remove the Cup. This imply’s a hierarchy.

The Father gave Jesus the Holy Spirit and Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. This imply’s a hierarchy.

Father and Son is a hierarchy.

 And Jesus Said:

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is a Hierarchy...

We believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. But, the Trinity is here and strong. If we had a Church vote concerning the Trinity, it would favor the Trinity.

The Trinity is a Mystery. We will likely have many Christians asking Jesus Christ the question – “How can the Trinity be true?” It is truly a Mystery. People love a Mystery, The answer is not in the Bible.
